Carr a doubt for Connacht
Connacht coach Eric Elwood has named a 26-man squad ahead of his side’s clash with Ulster at the Sportsgrounds on Saturday night (KO 7.30pm).
Brian Tuohy, Eoin Griffin and Johnny O’Connor have returned to training and are a welcome boost considering the injuries to key players John Muldoon and Ezra Taylor.
Darragh Fannin - who was superb for St Mary's College in last year's AIB League campaign - is also named in the squad.
Fionn Carr, who is in electrifying form at present, is a doubt with a foot injury and was unable to train with the squad today.
Full-back Gavin Duffy (back), scrum-half Frank Murphy (foot) and prop Jamie Hagan (back) also sat out the session after picking up injuries in the bruising victory over Glasgow.
Connacht currently lie in fourth place in the table and a win at the weekend could further bolster the westerner’s strong start to the season.
