Ross recovering from calf injury

Leinster prop Mike Ross should be able to recover from a calf injury to take his place in the Leinster squad for their first home match of the season against Cardiff Blues at The RDS next Saturday evening.

Coach Joe Schmidt is already dealing with the import of Ballymena's Simon Shawe and Nottingham's Ben Prescott because of injuries to front row personnel.

It is expected that some more players will be available from the international contingent and the team will be announced on Thursday afternoon.

Close to 15,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday’s match.
