Injuries have forced the All Blacks to delay naming their team to play South Africa in the second Test of the Tri Nations in Wellington until Thursday morning.

Utility back Richard Kahui has returned to Hamilton and will see a specialist on Monday after sustaining soft tissue damage to his left shoulder, but half-back Jimmy Cowan (strained abdomen) and winger Josevata Rokocoko (hamstring strain) are still in the selection frame.

Loose forward Victor Vito is also nursing a calf injury.

All Blacks coach Graham Henry said: “We are postponing the announcement of the team till Thursday to give the medical staff more time to assess the fitness of the other players.”

Recalled winger Zac Guildford and number nine Alby Mathewson have joined up with the squad as cover.
