The row over the designation of top rugby matches as 'Free to Air' TV events will be raised today at the Dáil Committee on Arts, Sport and Tourism.

Irish Rugby Football Union chief executive, Philip Browne is due to outline why he rejects the plan.

It comes after former minister for sport, John O'Donoghue, last night came out opposing to the Minister for Communication Eamon Ryan's plan, saying such a development could be "potentially disastrous" for Irish rugby.
