Ulster have released Clinton Schifcofske from his contract so that the Australian can make the transition to rugby league club Celtic Crusaders.

Initially a former rugby league player, Schifcofske crossed codes at the end of 2006 when he signed a two-year contract with rugby union side Queensland Reds.

He then moved over to Ulster for the start of the 2008/09 season and made 30 appearances for the province, mostly at full-back.
