Munster's Scott Deasy has today escaped suspenion for a trip on Scarlets player Andy Fenby.

An Irish Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel held a hearing today to consider a citing against Deasy from the Munster V Scarlets Magners League game on Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Deasy was cited for an alleged trip on the Scarlets player in the 44th minute of the game in contravention of law 10.4 (d).

Having studied the match footage and heard all available evidence, the disciplinary panel upheld the citing but found that the offence did not warrant a red card and no sanction was imposed on the player and he is free to play.

The IRFU panel consisted of David Martin (chairman), assisted by Phil Orr and John Glackin.
