Though they had only 13 players on the pitch going into half-time, in-form Young Munster were able to come from behind to beat Ballynahinch in the fog at Tom Clifford Park this afternoon.

Munsters, who went top of the Division 1B table last weekend, edged ahead of 'Hinch through an Alan Kingsley penalty which was negated when Ryan Bambry was on target for the visitors.

Kingsley, with a further penalty and drop goal, had the home side in front 9-3 but his opposite Bambry landed another penalty.

In a nip-and-tuck affair, full-back Jonny Cullen then dropped a goal to make it 9-9 and just on half-time Bambry kicked Derek Suffern's side in front.

Two Young Munster players and one from the visitors were sin-binned before the break, but number 10 Kingsley seized control for the Cookies in the second half, firing over two more penalties.

The win, Munsters' sixth in-a-row, was not enough to keep Mike Prendergast's side ahead of their closest rivals Old Belvedere at the summit. 'Belvo's bonus point win at Ballymena has them back in first place.

Scorers: Young Munster: Pens: Alan Kingsley 4; Drop: Alan Kingsley

Ballynahinch: Pens: Ryan Bambry 3; Drop: Jonny Cullen
