Lions lead at break thanks to Williams
South Africa 6 British and Irish Lions 15
Shane Williams scored twice in a pulsating first 40 minutes as the British and Irish Lions took a half-time lead in the third Test against South Africa.
The Welsh winger’s first two tries of the tour also equalled a Lions record for tries in a Test match, currently held by JJ Williams and Tom Croft.
The Lions’ powerful defence kept the Springboks in check but they finished the half with 14 men after Simon Shaw was sin-binned for use of the knees.
