The Ireland U20s have been beaten 19-17 by Wales in Japan today.
The result means the Welsh side with go into the fifth-sixth place playoff at the Junior World Championships.
Ireland will wind up the tournament in Sunday's seventh-eighth place play-off against Samoa.
