Carney signs for Warrington
Munster back Brian Carney has decided to switch codes in moving back to rugby league to play with Warrington Wolves, it was announced today.
Carney reacted: "I'm really looking forward to a new challenge with Warrington Wolves and am equally looking forward to working with the squad. I hope that I can add something to their game.
"I'd also like to thank the players and everyone involved in Munster for their time and efforts. I enjoyed my time there."
Warrington head coach Tony Smith added: "I am really excited by the prospect of getting to work with Brian. He's a championship player and his experience and know-how will be a real asset to the squad.
Carney scored five tries in 21 appearances for Munster.
