A special homecoming ceremony will be held in Dublin later today to welcome the Leinster rugby team back from Edinburgh.

They won the Heineken Cup for the first time yesterday when they beat Leicester at Murrayfield, capping a memorable year for Irish rugby.

The Taoiseach has led the tributes to the team describing them as great ambassadors for Ireland while Sports Minister Martin Cullen described the win as another glorious chapter in the recent history of Irish rugby.

The homecoming will be held at the RDS and will get underway at 2.30pm.
