Ian McGeechan confirmed he will not be replacing injured centre Tom Shanklin as the 2009 British and Irish Lions squad met for the first time today without two other significant names.
Alan Quinlan remained in Ireland awaiting his appeal against the 12-week suspension he received last week for making contact with the eye area of Leinster’s Leo Cullen.
