Nigel Owens to referee Heineken Cup final

Leinster will be pleased to see that Nigel Owens has been chosen to be the man in the middle for the Heineken Cup final against Leicester Tigers at Murrayfield on Saturday, May 23 (kick-off 5pm).

The Welshman is well known to Leinster, filling the role of man in the middle in the epic semi-final at Croke Park.

Owens joins Englishman Chris White in taking charge of successive Heineken Cup finals and also becoming only the third official to have been appointed to more than one final.
