Suttonians appoint new coach

Suttonians, the All Ireland League Division Three club, have announced the appointment of Robert Forbes as coach for next season.

The North-side AIL Division Three club welcome back Forbes, who previously lead the club to AIL Division two status.

Alan Barron, the club’s new director of rugby, said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Robert for next season. He is a hugely talented coach, who is a consummate professional and passionate about rugby, and Suttonians rugby in particular."

Forbes, who is also a director of the Irish Rugby Institute, will take up his duties with immediate effect.

Forbes said: "The immediate priority is the recruitment of new playing talent for next season. Many of last season’s squad is retiring and/or emigrating, so we need to bring on plenty of local new talent."
