Bowe at full-back for Ospreys as Byrne is ruled out

Wales full-back Lee Byrne failed a fitness test on his ankle and is out of The Ospreys team to face Munster in the Heineken Cup on Sunday at Thomond Park.

Wales full-back Lee Byrne failed a fitness test on his ankle and is out of The Ospreys team to face Munster in the Heineken Cup on Sunday at Thomond Park.

Instead, Ireland international Tommy Bowe will start at full-back. Jonny Vaughton comes in on the wing with Shane Williams on the other flank of the attack.

There is plenty of quality in the forward back five through captain Ryan Jones, Ian Gough, Alun-Wyn Jones, Marty Holah and Filo Tiatia.

THE OSPREYS (v Munster): Tommy Bowe; Jonny Vaughton, Sonny Parker, Andrew Bishop, Shane Williams; James Hook, Mike Phillips; Paul James, Huw Bennett, Adam Jones; Ian Gough, Alun-Wyn Jones; Ryan Jones (Capt), Marty Holah, Filo Tiatia.

Replacements: Richard Hibbard, Cai Griffiths, Filipo Levi, Andy Lloyd, Tom Smith, Jamie Nutbrown, Dan Biggar.
