Cork Con v Shannon postponed
Today's much-anticipated AIB League Division One meeting of Munster heavyweights Cork Constitution and Shannon has been postponed at Temple Hill.
Referee Alan Rogan declared the pitch unplayable at 2.15pm after a second pitch inspection, with both clubs agreeing that player safety is paramount.
Heavy winds and constant rain showers since the morning meant the fixture was in some doubt, but the other Division One game in Cork – Dolphin's clash with Blackrock College at Musgrave Park – has gone ahead.
