Referee Alan Rogan declared the pitch unplayable at 2.15pm after a second pitch inspection, with both clubs agreeing that player safety is paramount.

Heavy winds and constant rain showers since the morning meant the fixture was in some doubt, but the other Division One game in Cork – Dolphin's clash with Blackrock College at Musgrave Park – has gone ahead.
