Wales facing nervous wait

Wales were today awaiting the 2011 World Cup draw in the knowledge they came within a whisker of ensuring they avoided the Tri-Nations heavyweights.

Saturday’s 21-18 defeat of Australia saw the Welsh rise to fifth in the world rankings – one place above England – but a 15-point winning margin would have seen them into fourth place, above Argentina.
