Quinlan relishing big chance

Alan Quinlan never gave up hope of reviving his Ireland career but was still left “shell-shocked” by his selection for the Test against New Zealand tomorrow.

Injury and a loss of form contributed to Quinlan falling out of favour during the previous regime overseen by Eddie O’Sullivan and he was given only sporadic opportunities in an Ireland shirt.
