Connacht welcome Portuguese national side

Connacht entertain the Porutgal national team, in their first match between the sides, at The Sportsground on Sunday in what is a continuation of a long standing tradition of international sides coming to Galway (6pm).

Portugal are the first International side to take on Connacht since South Africa came to the Sportsground in August 2007 prior to their World Cup-winning campaign.

Portugal, nicknamed "Os Lobos", or "The Wolves", have continued to record impressive results since becoming the 2003-4 European Nations Cup winners. They qualified for their first Rugby World Cup in 2007.
