The IRFU has announced the appointment of former South African international, Gert Smal as forwards coach to the Irish team.

The IRFU has announced the appointment of former South African international, Gert Smal as forwards coach to the Irish team.

The 46-year-old has signed a contract for a three-year period to include Rugby World Cup 2011.
