Instonians impress with 32-23 victory

Instonians impressed as they won their first ever AIB League play-off title at Donnybrook.

Dethroning Bruff in an entertaining Division Three decider, Inst's former Ireland international Niall Malone was the man-of-the-match.

Malone was the key playmaker and he, along with Adam Telford and Owen McMurray, touched down as the Belfast side took a 22-13 interval lead.

A second try for Bruff flanker John Stephen Shine cut the gap to two points but a Kenny Morton seven-pointer and a McMurray penalty saw Inst prevail.
