All Black flanker eyes move to Europe

New Zealand flanker Jerry Collins has set his sights on a switch to Europe.

A host of leading players in the southern hemisphere chose to quit the Super 14 and move to Europe following last year's World Cup.

Collins, the Wellington Hurricanes hardman who is one of the leading back-row forwards in the world, is the latest player to express an interest in trying his luck in the northern hemisphere.

"At the moment, I am thinking about it every day," he said in French daily L'Equipe.

"It isn't a secret, I see myself leaving. I would love to take part in the European Cup, which I watch on TV. Either in England or France.

"We will see."

Collins, the current vice-captain of the All Blacks, added: "I am not guided by money, but by the desire of an adventure in a city which supports its team.

"I don't really want to go to a big city. In London or Paris, it is too hectic, too big. I would lose myself there."

Aaron Mauger, Chris Jack, Byron Kelleher, Anton Oliver and Luke McAlister are among the current crop of New Zealanders plying their trade in Europe since the World Cup.
