Connacht player Mike McCarthy has been suspended for four weeks after an IRFU disciplinary hearing found him guilty of executing a dangerous and high tackle during the Edinburgh v Connacht match in the Magners League.

Connacht player Mike McCarthy has been suspended for four weeks after an IRFU disciplinary hearing found him guilty of executing a dangerous and high tackle during the Edinburgh v Connacht match in the Magners League.

The hearing was held in Dublin yesterday evening.
