Former Munster and Ireland rugby captain Mick Galwey is backing Declan Kidney as the best man to succeed Eddie O'Sullivan as Ireland rugby coach.

The Kerry native played under Kidney at Munster and has also been linked with a possible role in the next set up following the departure of O'Sullivan before Easter after a dismal Six Nations and World Cup campaign.
