O'Connell named in Munster A squad
Ireland's Paul O'Connell has been named in a 24-man Munster A squad to pay Ulster at Ravenhill on Friday.
It is a surprise inclusion for the second row fighting his way back from a back injury and must be a good indication that he could be ready to play against Scotland at Croke Park on Saturday fortnight.
Flanker Jake Paringatai is also back after doing damage to a cheebone when he came on as a second half replacement in the Heineken Cup game against Clermont-Auvergne in Thomond Park in mid November.
MUNSTER A SQUAD (v Ulster A):
Tom Gleeson, Anthony Horgan, Ian Hanley, Ciaran O'Boyle,
Keith Earls, Conan Doyle, Barry Murphy, Evan Ryan, Jeremy Manning, Gerry Hurley, Tomas O'Leary, Darragh Hurley, Eugene McGovern, Tim Ryan, Sean Cronin, Denis Fogarty, Mark Melbourne, Billy Holland, Paul O'Connell, Jake Paringatai, Barry O'Mahony, Tommy O'Donnell, James Coughlan, Dave Sherry.
