Wasps hooker Raphael Ibanez has been banned for four weeks for a stamp on Ireland's Llanelli Scarlet Simon Easterby that was described as mid range in the level of seriousness.

Wasps hooker Raphael Ibanez has been banned for four weeks for a stamp on Ireland's Llanelli Scarlet Simon Easterby that was described as mid range in the level of seriousness.

The independent Disciplinary Committee was chaired by Mark McParland (Ireland) and also comprised Hugh Logan (Ireland) and Simon Thomas (Wales).

Having taken into account any mitigating and aggravating factors, the Committee arrived at the decision which will run from today up to and including Thursday, February 21, 2008.

Both parties have the right to appeal.
