Sexton named Leinster player of the month

Leinster fly-half Jonathan Sexton is the Bank of Ireland Leinster Player of the Month for December.

Sexton reacted accordingly: "Thanks to everyone who nominated me for this award. It's a great feeling to be recognised by the Leinster supporters and I hope to continue delivering for Leinster for the remainder of the season".

The 22-year-old playmaker won the award for his man of the match performance in the match against Ulster on St Stephen's Day and his overall consistency through the month.
