Munster have received a boost with the news that Marcus Horan has escaped a ban and been cleared of any wrong doing during the provinces win over the Llanelli Scarlets last Sunday.

Horan, who came on as a second-half sub for Federico Pucciarello, was sin-binned for allegedly kicking Scarlets prop Deacon Manu.

At an independent Disciplinary Committee meeting in Dublin today the panel dismissed the citing and cleared the player of any foul play relating to the citing.

Both parties have the right to appeal.
