Horan cited for 'kicking' Llanelli prop

Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan has been cited for breach of Law 10.4 for allegedly kicking prop Deacon Manu in the Heineken Cup win over Llanelli Scarlets last Sunday.

Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan has been cited for breach of Law 10.4 for allegedly kicking prop Deacon Manu in the Heineken Cup win over Llanelli Scarlets last Sunday.

At the time, Horan was given a yellow card by referee Dave Pearson.

It was hoped it would not go any further.

He will have to face an independent Disciplinary Committee.

The citing, lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Bill Dunlop (Scotland), was for the alleged kicking of Llanelli Scarlets replacement Deacon Manu (No 17) in contravention of Law 10.4 (c)

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as is practicable.
