Out-half Frank Lynch helped himself to 19 points as St. Mary’s College continued their recent upturn in fortunes at Eaton Park.

Mary’s third league win on the trot owed much to the efforts from pack heavyweights Hugh Hogan and Conor McInerney.

A penalty try helped Ballymena get back on terms but a pushover effort, credited to Leinster prop Juan Gomez, had Mary’s 17-10 in front at half-time.

Further tries from scrum half Matt D’Arcy and hooker Matt Crockett put the result beyond doubt.
