Littler takes charge of Irish rugby league side

Salford’s long-serving centre Stuart Littler will lead Ireland’s bid to reach the 2008 World Cup.

The 28-year-old Littler has been appointed captain for tomorrow’s qualifying match against Russia in Carlow which is followed by the Euro group one decider against Lebanon in Dewsbury on Friday, November 2.
