Carney may sign for Munster

It is believed that former Clongowes Wood College schoolboy Brian Carney could sign for Munster as an additional player ahead of the Heineken Cup quarter-final deadline on Thursday.

Former Wigan and Great Britain rugby league legend Carney finished a stint with the Newcastle Knights and pulled out of a contract with the Gold Coast Titans in Australia to end his career.
