McFadden the hero for UCD

Fergus McFadden may not have seen action for Leinster last night but he was central to UCD's win at Galwegians today.

Having been surplus to requirements against Edinburgh, McFadden kicked 16 points as the students eased their relegation worries somewhat.

Three McFadden penalties and pushover try from number eight Kevin Sheahan had UCD 14-3 ahead at half-time at Crowley Park.

'Wegians fought back for a 17-17 score line, with a penalty try and a Tom Grey effort.

But tries from winger Vasily Artemiev and prop Brian McGovern saw UCD claim their seventh win in nine league meetings with 'Wegians.
