Azzurri call up Mandelli

Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has called up Gran Parma’s Roberto Mandelli to replace the injured Alessandro Zanni for Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations opener against France.

The Calvisano flanker sustained an injury at the weekend and has been ruled out for the meeting at the Stadio Flaminio in Rome.

Mandelli will join the team for training today as the Azzurri continue their preparation for this weekend’s clash.
