Munster's Alan Quinlan is due to appeal his six-week ban for stamping before an ERC disciplinary committee in Dublin today.

The flanker pleaded guilty last month to stamping on Cardiff's Mark Lewis during the Heineken Cup match at Thomond Park on December 16.

However, Munster have appealed the severity of the punishment, which would rule him out of their last two Heineken Cup pool games against Bourgoin and Leicester.
