Clontarf survived a second half fight-back from Blackrock College to claim their fifth win of the league campaign at Castle Avenue.

‘Tarf are temporarily top of the table after taking the spoils in this Dublin derby, which saw them retain the Moore Trophy.

Full-back Niall O’Brien, out-half John Kennedy and hooker Cian Healy all touched down as ‘Tarf took a 19-12 lead into the break.

Their former captain Johnny Wickham barged over in the second half, but ‘Rock really tested the hosts’ mettle with outstanding full-back Fionn Carr tallying up 17 points (two tries, two conversions and a penalty).
