All Blacks trounce England

England 20 New Zealand 41

England were put to the sword by rampant New Zealand this afternoon to mark the opening of Twickenham’s refurbished South Stand with a humiliating record home defeat.

Aaron Mauger, Joe Rokocoko, Tony Woodcock and Dan Carter crossed as England eclipsed their previous heaviest loss, a 29-11 reverse by South Africa in 1997.

Man of the match Carter was England’s destroyer in chief with a 26-point haul while the world champions crossed through Jamie Noon, Ben Cohen and Shaun Perry.
