Ulster and Ireland ‘A’ prop Tom Court scored his first try for Ballymena as the Braidmen ended their long wait for a league win today.
Court muscled over in the 12th-minute at Eaton Park to set up a first victory in four Division One outings for Jacques Benade’s men.
Ballymena led 13-7 at half-time – full-back Dirkie Strydom kicked a conversion and a penalty and out-half Paul Campbell landed a drop goal.
Connacht’s David Slemen and Conor McPhillips nabbed tries for ‘Wegians, but three Strydom penalties and another Campbell drop saw the visitors slump to their fourth straight defeat in Co Antrim.
