Dungannon made it two league wins on the trot as they ran four tries past a disappointing Dolphin side at Stevenson Park today.

Missing inspirational number eight James Coughlan, who is on bench duty for Munster tomorrow, Dolphin struggled and relied on four penalties from Barry Keeshan’s boot.

Flanker Oisín Hennessy, prop Declan Fitzpatrick and lock Ryan Caldwell all crossed the visitors’ whitewash as Dungannon led 17-6 at the break.

Keeshan kicked Dolphin back to within five points but ‘Gannon, who are up to eighth in the standings, eased home thanks to Richard McCarter’s converted try and two Adam Larkin penalties.

Scorers:

Dungannon: Tries: Oisin Hennessy, Declan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Caldwell, Richard McCarter; Cons: Adam Larkin 2; Pens: Larkin 2

Dolphin: Pens: Barry Keeshan 4
