All square at Belfield
UCD 20 Lansdowne 20
It was a game of two halves at Belfield as the wind dominated the meeting of UCD and Lansdowne.
Having leaked 20 points in the first half, UCD tallied up 17 of their own after the resumption.
Eyeing up the win, the students failed to turn some late pressure into points after out-half Ian Keatley (53 minutes) and hooker and captain Conor Geoghegan (67) had nabbed tries.
Centre Fergus McFadden brilliantly dropkicked the levelling conversion after the ball had blown over in the wind.
Lansdowne had tries from front rowers Karl Cleere and Gavin O’Meara inside the first ten minutes.
