Ofisa may make debut against Edinburgh

New signing Samoan flanker Ray Ofisa could make his competitive debut from a 22-man Connacht Squad against Edinburgh Gunners in the Magners League at The Sportsground on Friday.

Connacht are struggling from an injury crisis at prop forward. Stephen Knoop joins Ray Hogan and Ronan Loughney on the sideline. It puts extra pressure on young prop Michael Diffley to fill in the gap.

Centre Paul Warwick has also been ruled out with a thigh injury and this will move the burden of attack onto the shoulders of Matt Mostyn, Keith Matthews and John Hearty.

CONNACHT SQUAD (v Edinburgh Gunners): Matt Mostyn, Daniel Riordan, Brett Sturgess, John Fogarty, Adrian Flavin, Colm Rigney, Ray Ofisa, Matt Lacey, John Muldoon, Mark McHugh, David Slemen, Darren Yapp, Tom Tierney, Brett Wilkinson, John Hearty, Gavin Williams, Chris Keane, Michael Diffley, Michael Swift, Andrew Farley, David Gannon, Keith Matthews.
