AIB League champions Shannon will open the defence of their crown in the 2006-07 AIB League Division 1 with a tough away trip to Ulster side Ballymena as the Limerick club attempt to make it four titles in a row.

AIB League champions Shannon will open the defence of their crown in the 2006-07 AIB League Division One with a tough away trip to Ulster side Ballymena as the Limerick club attempt to make it four titles in a row.

If they are successful in this season’s campaign, it will be their ninth AIB League title and their second four in a row, following the feat of the club during the 1990s.
