Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll accepted fatigue had got the better of his side in their 37-15 defeat to Australia in Perth.

The tourists, who lost twice to New Zealand on their trip to the southern hemisphere, briefly led 10 minutes into the second half but the Wallabies powered ahead to win comfortably.
