Russell signs new Exiles deal

London Irish hooker Robbie Russell has agreed a new one-year contract with the European Challenge Cup finalists.

Russell made 20 appearances for the Exiles last season with his contribution restricted by a shoulder injury.

The 29-year front row, who has won 28 caps for Scotland, joined Irish in July 2004.

Exiles director of rugby Brian Smith said: “Robbie is highly regarded among the top hookers in the Premiership.

“His mobility about the park means he is a constant threat.”
