Cork Con claim inaugural AIB Cup

St Mary's 12 Cork Constitution 37

Cork Constitution have won the inaugural AIB Cup Final at Lansdowne Road.

They beat St. Mary’s 37-12, outscoring them five tries to two

Man of the match Croinin Healy got four tries for Con, two in either half, and their other winger, Munster's Anthony Horgan also touched down early in the second half.

Out-half Daragh Lyons kicked three conversions, aswell as a penalty and a drop goal just before the break.

The St Mary’s points came from sub Ciaran Potts’ try after 18 minutes that was converted by centre Barry Lynn and Keith Douglas got their second after 55 minutes.

Earlier in the day, south Derry side Rainey Old Boys won the inaugural AIB Junior Cup Final, beating Youghal of Cork 27-5.
