Matthews fit for Connacht clash

Connacht centre Keith Matthews has been passed fit for involvement in Friday’s European Challenge Cup quarter final against Newcastle.

Matthews has recovered from a quad muscle injury at the start of the month and he will challenge for a starting place in a debut season that has seen him score eight tries in 188 appearances.

Coach Michael Bradley will announce his team on Thursday morning.
