Shannon continue to blaze a trail at the top of the Division One table thanks to this afternoon's 27-15 triumph over Lansdowne at headquarters.

Mick Galway’s side were made to fight for their three-try win as Lansdowne begun the second half armed with a 7-3 lead.

Full-back David O'Donovan, winger Brian Tuohy and hooker Sean Cronin shared out Shannon’s second half tries. Dave Delaney converted all three and added a penalty, with Andrew Thompson also dropping a goal.

Leinster scrum half Brian O'Meara sniped over for Lansdowne's opening try. They grabbed a late consolation try through full-back Justin Meagher.
