Hadden calls up Reivers duo
Scotland coach Frank Hadden has named two uncapped players in a 32-strong squad for training at Murrayfield next week as the Scots intensify their preparations for the forthcoming RBS 6 Nations Championship.
Hadden’s side will face France in their opening match at Murrayfield on February 5.
Centre Ben MacDougall, 28, and 23-year-old openside flanker Andy Miller – both Border Reivers – have been called up in a squad which also marks the return of Glasgow Warriors’ captain Jon Petrie, who missed the autumn Tests through a shoulder injury.
Stand-off Gordon Ross has earned a recall on the back of recent good performances in the Guinness Premiership.
Scott MacLeod, the Border Reivers lock, is another whose recent form and fitness is rewarded after a long absence through an ankle injury
