Ulster duo cited

Ulster players Justin Harrison and Matt McCullough and Saracens' Kevin Yates have been cited.

They will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of citings lodged against them following the Round 4 Heineken Cup Pool 4 match between Saracens and Ulster Rugby at Vicarage Road last Saturday.

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Professor Lorne D. Crerar (SRU).

Douglas Hunter and Iain Goodall (both SRU) will complete the independent Disciplinary Committee who will hear the citings in Glasgow on Friday, 23 December 2005.

The three citings were lodged by the ERC appointed Citing Commissioner for the match, Terry Vaux (Wales), and are against Mr Harrison for alleged contravention of Law: 10.4 (a), against Mr McCullough for alleged contravention of Law: 10.4 (a) and against Mr Yates for alleged contravention of Law: 10.4 (a).

Law 10.4 (a) Punching or striking: A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).
