St Mary's College 8 Lansdowne 16

Lansdowne ended a three-game losing streak by coming from behind to beat St Mary's College at Templeville Road.

Hooker Kevin Corrigan was lurking unmarked out on the right wing, two minutes into injury-time, to collect a Corey Burt chip kick and score the match-winning try.

Mary's, ironically unbeaten in their three previous games, looked on course for their fourth victory as they led 5-3 at the break thanks to full-back Philip Brophy's unconverted try. Kiwi number 10 Burt had replied with a penalty for Lansdowne.

Although Ireland Under-21 fly-half Jonathan Sexton increased the Mary's lead to 8-3 with a penalty, Burt, who kicked 11 points in all, and Corrigan decided it at the death.

Scorers: St Mary’s: Try: Philip Brophy; Pen: Jonathan Sexton

Lansdowne: Try: Kevin Corrigan; Con: Corey Burt; Pens: Burt 3
